Drake may take some credit to bringing this mixtape House Of Balloons to light, and fair dues to him, because this is one of the most weirdly addictive albums Ive heard all year. Its R&B with some hyperreal production, smooth as silk, yet the pervading mood held within these nine tracks denoting tales of late night overindulgences of the XXX order is seedy and seductive in equal measures. I know we don't post about this stuff much, but there is something inherently commanding about this music. This deserves to be heard, in some cases incessantly - and you can do it for free over at the man's website. But be warned - if you become a worn out, sweat stained, sexually depraved addict, don't come crawling back to me - unless you are scoring...
